I’ve always been inspired by the idea that I can use my knowledge and work to help others. My journey of “helping” people began in high school, when I attended a secondary school for healthcare. It was there that I first realized how important it is to understand the human body and support its recovery.
Education
After finishing secondary school for healthcare, I began my professional journey as a group fitness instructor. In this role, I often encountered people experiencing various types of pain, which led me to consider how I could help them more effectively. This inspired me to pursue a degree in physiotherapy, as I wanted to deepen my knowledge and gain the professional skills needed to treat pain and injuries more efficiently.
Throughout my studies, I had the opportunity to work in outpatient physiotherapy, where I was able to combine theoretical knowledge with hands-on experience. I also explored other areas of physiotherapy, including clinical settings, hospitals, and health resorts. Nevertheless, I discovered my true passion in outpatient physiotherapy, where I wholeheartedly enjoy helping people on their journey to recovery and improved well-being.
Career
For over 10 years, I have been working in private practice, where I meet a wide range of individuals – from athletes and recreational enthusiasts to people with chronic conditions, pain, and post-operative challenges. My work is based on a personalized approach that combines professional assessment with a deep understanding of each person’s unique story, as I believe that successful rehabilitation is built on mutual trust and collaboration.
My core area of expertise is manual therapy, where I use specific therapeutic techniques to relieve pain, improve mobility, and help the body restore balance. I follow modern physiotherapy guidelines to provide my clients with safe, effective, and professional support on their journey to feeling better.
Achievements
I believe that continuous education is essential for becoming an outstanding physiotherapist. That’s why I regularly enhance my expertise in the fields of orthopedic medicine, manual therapy, and myofascial treatment. My philosophy is rooted in a holistic approach – I treat each person as a unique whole, taking into account their physical condition, personal goals, and lifestyle.
In addition to my clinical work, I am also a board member of the Private Physiotherapists’ Section and the Commission for Private Practice and Expert Opinions at the Slovenian Physiotherapy Association. Through this work, I contribute to the professional development of physiotherapy in Slovenia. I also mentor students and interns, as I strongly believe that educating the next generation of physiotherapists is crucial for the advancement of our profession.
I trust in clinically proven methods, while remaining open to new, evidence-based rehabilitation techniques. My mission is not only to help people overcome pain but also to improve their overall quality of life.
